The Agriculture Microfinance Program of ARS-Bangladesh supports smallholder farmers by providing accessible credit and technical assistance for agricultural production, livestock rearing, fisheries, agro-processing, and other farm-based enterprises. Operating across 9 districts of Khulna Division, the program reached 15,145 beneficiaries during 2024–2025 and maintained an outstanding loan portfolio of BDT 156.63 million (Tk. 15,663.22 lakh). Through timely financial support, farmers were able to invest in the cultivation of seasonal vegetables, paddy, jute, flowers, and other crops, as well as livestock and fisheries activities. The program has contributed to increased agricultural productivity, improved household income, enhanced food security, and strengthened the resilience of rural farming communities.
