In response to the 2024 floods, ARS-Bangladesh’s Humanitarian Assistance for Flood-Affected People program exemplified a robust approach to disaster relief. The project provided Multi-Purpose Cash Grants (MPCG) of BDT 3,000 to each of 1,000 families, empowering recipients to prioritize essential needs like food, medical care, and housing repairs. Additionally, the distribution of comprehensive food packages to 2,300 families and hygiene kits to 300 families emphasized ARS’s holistic support strategy. Custom hygiene kits, including menstrual products, clean water supplies, and disinfectants, helped combat potential disease spread. By also supplying school materials for 1,000 flood-affected students, ARS ensured that the affected youth could return to education, supporting long-term recovery through stabilized schooling.
