To promote sustainable energy and reduce environmental impact, ARS-Bangladesh initiated several eco-friendly projects. The Biogas Program, running from 2014 to 2022 in Jashore, Jhenaidah, and Chuadanga, provided a sustainable energy source that supports agricultural productivity and reduces reliance on traditional fuels. This program has been crucial in generating local employment and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. The Solar Irrigation Program in Chowgacha Upazila, Jashore, and the Improved Cook Stove (ICS) Program aim to further these environmental objectives, benefiting over 462,000 individuals by promoting sustainable agriculture, reducing indoor air pollution, and improving health outcomes.
