A cornerstone of ARS-Bangladesh’s mission is providing humanitarian assistance during emergencies. Their Food Assistance Program, held in Katiadi Upazila, Kishoreganj district, highlights their swift response in addressing food insecurity exacerbated by natural disasters. Supported by Dollar A Day, the initiative supplied 700 families with essential food packs during Ramadan, helping 1,400 individuals stabilize their lives post-flood. Similarly, the Reduction of Avoidable Blindness initiative addressed the critical need for eye care, performing cataract surgeries for underserved populations in Banaripara, Barishal, and Kishorgonj, enhancing the quality of life for nearly 2,000 individuals. With community-driven healthcare access and rehabilitative support, these emergency programs not only provide immediate relief but also strengthen community resilience in the face of adversity.
