SAVINGS AND GROUP LENDING MODEL

ARS-Bangladesh implements a Savings and Group Lending Model to promote financial inclusion, encourage regular savings, and improve access to credit for low-income and marginalized communities. Under this model, members are organized into community-based groups where they participate in regular meetings, deposit savings, access microcredit services, and receive financial guidance to strengthen their economic resilience.

During the 2024–2025 fiscal year, ARS-Bangladesh served 42,537 members and 34,792 active borrowers through its network of 82 branch offices, maintaining an outstanding loan recovery rate of 98.69%. The model supports members in undertaking income-generating activities, managing household finances, and building financial security through disciplined savings and responsible borrowing practices.

By fostering collective responsibility, mutual support, and financial discipline, the Savings and Group Lending Model contributes to poverty reduction, livelihood improvement, women’s empowerment, and sustainable community development across Bangladesh.
